Double Dutch Mania

Thursday the Young Women and the Relief Society sisters met together for a night of fun!!! First, the Young Women taught the Relief Society how to Double Dutch. How fun and how hard!!! Look at the TALENT these Young Women have!!!!!!!

Camp Mack

In August, the Young women had the opportunity to go to Girl's Camp.
Here are the highlights:
Games with the Bishop
Testimony Meeting
Learning the camp songs
'Tipsy' hand game
Braiding hair
The good food
Being together with friends
The swimming pool
Studying the Scriptures
The showers
The unpleasant things:
The enormous daddy long legs
All the other bugs
Being away from family and friends
Not having our normal comforts (like a comfy bed)
The downpouring rain

The biggest consensus was that the bugs were the worst thing. Just like in life, we have to deal with the 'bugs'. But with the Lord's help and through prayer, we can overcome the small and enormous 'bugs' in life.

Being away from our comforts and being in a place unknown to us made us really rely on a greater being.

Living amongst the trees and nature helped us to realize how much our creator has done for us, in providing us with a beautiful world to live in and in giving His life for us.

Starring: The Logan Ward young women, the Bishop, and the leaders who sacrificed their time to make this event possible. Thanks soooo much!

Youth Conference 2007

A group picture at Youth Conference
The Young Women who went to Youth Conference had a great time! It was a very great experience. Smile for the camera

We got to hear from the Young Men General President. Those who wanted to had the chance to meet him and take a picture with him. He was a great speaker. His fireside was one of the highlights of Youth Conference.

With a dance every evening, the girls had a ball!

For our service project, we sanded and decorated these wooden dolls. The sanding was hard work, but knowing that children will get these dolls made it all worth it.
